Oerlemans was surprised on the set of The Bold and the Beautiful in Hollywood. The award was presented by his friend and colleague Bradley Bell, writer and executive producer of the film. “I feel extremely honored,” said the media entrepreneur.

The award is an initiative of the online platform Spreekbuis.nl and streaming service NLziet. The prize goes to a media professional who has had a major influence on the Dutch media landscape. AD columnist Angela de Jong and Spreekbuis publisher Richard Otto were the judges this year. They praise Oerlemans above all for his exceptional development from television face to international media builder.
