SCROLL

Neil Coleman is an innovative and collaborative Television Technical and Post Production Executive.   He began his television career at Swell Pictures, a post -production house in Chicago where he finessed his editing skills and client relations techniques, creating everything from music videos and commercials to tape packages for talk shows.

His career took off when he joined the staff of The Oprah Winfrey Show, where he worked on every aspect of the history making broadcast.  From Oprah’s month-long remote during her Mad Cow trial in Amarillo, Texas – to her celebrated interview with Nelson Mandela, Neil’s time in the editor’s chair won him five Emmy awards and the trust and praise of the show’s producers.

It also gave him a unique perspective into how each department’s needs could be met with improved workflow solutions, stronger relationships and better communication.

Moving into management allowed Neil to use his editor’s insight to create innovative solutions that improved the efficiency of producing each episode.  When The Oprah Show ended, Neil became a principal member of the team that guided Harpo Studios into collaboration with Discovery Communications and the launch of OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network.

In 2012, Neil moved to Los Angeles to launch the nationally syndicated Jeff Probst Show.  Building his team from the ground up, Neil guided and mentored the staff, building a creative and inspiring environment.  A “geek” at heart, Neil is constantly investigating the latest technology and is passionate about pursuing how best to advance the collaborative nature of producing entertainment.
